TheDepartmentofCellBiology,MicrobiologyandMolecularBiologyatUniversityofSouthFlorida(USF)--TampacordiallyinvitescandidateswithadoctoraldegreeinBiochemistry,Biophysics,Microbiology,orcloselyrelatedfieldstoapplyforapostdoctoralresearchscholarposition.ThelabmainlyfocusesondynamicsandsignaltransductionstudyofmembraneproteinsespeciallyGprotein-coupledreceptors(GPCRs).Inourpreviousstudy,wewereabletodelineatetheA2Aadenosinereceptor(A2AR)intofourconformationalstates,includingtwoinactivestatesandtwoactivestates(Ye,VanEpsetal.Nature,),withthehelpofanoptimizedmicro-electrostaticallysensitive19FNMRreporter(Ye,Lardaetal.J.Biol.NMR,).Conformationaltransitionandallostericmodulationwerealsoinvestigatedatthedissectedconformationalstatelevel(Ye,Nealeetal.NatureCommunications,).Followingthislineofresearch,wewouldliketofurtherpushthefrontierofreceptorconformationaltransitionresearchandthereafterapplytheseapproachestoneurodegeneration-andcancer-relatedGPCRswiththeaimofdevelopingspecifictherapies.Theultimategoalistodevelopastrategyfordesigningbiaseddrugswithexclusivetherapeuticeffectsandfewerside-effects.Formoreinformation,pleasevisit:
